Microencapsulation Fluidics System
NIEHS’s Division of Translational Toxicology, Mechanistic Toxicology Branch, seeks a commercially available microencapsulation fluidics system with microfluidic modules, pumping/droplet-generation components, computer/software, installation, and training. The system must combine liquid alginate with human cell suspensions under controlled conditions to form alginate capsules and support 3D microtissues, organoids, spheroids, and other advanced cell models for translational toxicology. Offerors may propose any manufacturer’s system that meets all mandatory functional, performance, and operational requirements in the attached Requirements Document; award will be a firm-fixed-price purchase order based on technical acceptability and a fair/reasonable total price. Required delivery is by September 30, 2026, to NIEHS Rall Building 101, Laboratories E144-146, 111 T.W. Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. Installation and user training will be performed at the NIEHS facility, and the system must operate independently of NIEHS IT systems without enterprise integration.
