The NIH/NIEHS intends to procure on a sole-source basis a Fluigent Microencapsulation Platform from Fluigent, including microfluidic modules, pumping and droplet-generation components, computer/software, installation, and training. The system is required to combine alginate with human cell suspensions under controlled conditions to produce alginate-encapsulated human microtissues, organoids, and spheroids for translational toxicology research. The Government intends to issue a firm-fixed-price purchase order to Fluigent, but all responsible sources may submit quotations that satisfy the complete scientific and technical requirements. The estimated value is $46,150.00, with computer/software delivery expected September 25, 2026, and full installation/implementation anticipated in Fall 2026.
