EVOS M5000 microscope for monitoring and documenting cultured cell images
The Government intends to issue a firm-fixed-price purchase order on a sole-source basis to Thermo Fisher Scientific for an EVOS M5000 Imaging System to support cell imaging and analysis at NIEHS, though all timely quotations will be considered. The required system is a compact, fully integrated digital inverted microscope with four-color fluorescence, transmitted-light and color imaging, a 3.2 MP monochrome camera, autofocus, Z-stacking, time-lapse imaging, position tracking, and onboard quantitative analysis for cell counting, confluence, and transfection/transduction efficiency. It must image live cultured cells and fixed or fluorescently stained specimens and fit within the laboratory’s existing biological safety cabinet. Delivery is required by September 25, 2026, to NIEHS, Rall Building 101, Laboratories E144-146, 111 T.W. Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. Market research evaluating the ECHO Revolve and Logos Biosystems CELENA S concluded that only the EVOS M5000 meets the complete combination of required technical and operational capabilities.
