The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order on a sole-source basis to Sartorius for upgrading its existing Octet R4 Bio-Layer Interferometry instrument to the Octet R8 configuration. The upgrade will double sample capacity per run and include an evaporation cover to preserve samples after analysis. The work must be compatible with and installed on the government’s current Octet R4 instrument, and Sartorius is cited as the only known responsible source. Interested parties may submit a capability statement to demonstrate they can meet the technical, compatibility, and installation requirements, and the government will consider timely responses in deciding whether to compete the acquisition.
