Replacement Components, Software Upgrades, and System Integration for Three Nikon Live-Cell Imaging Systems

The NIH, on behalf of the National Cancer Institute’s Center for Cancer Research, intends to award a non-competitive, brand-name contract to Nikon Instruments Inc. for the replacement and upgrade of critical components on three aging Nikon live-cell imaging systems. These systems are located in Dr. Steve Cappell’s laboratory within the Laboratory of Cancer Biology and Genetics, where they support long-term live-cell imaging research. The work covers replacement of scientific cameras, motorized filter wheels, workstation computers, and imaging software to restore performance and extend operational life. The acquisition will follow FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is expected not to exceed the simplified acquisition threshold of $350,000.
