Continued Operation and Maintenance Support for Agilent Seahorse
The Agilent Seahorse Analyzer is a specialized shared core resource located in Building 35A, Pod D, within the NIH intramural research program. It measures oxygen consumption rate (OCR) and extracellular acidification rate (ECAR) to evaluate mitochondrial respiration and glycolysis in real time. This instrument supports research in cancer metabolism, neurodegeneration, immunology, and mitochondrial diseases across multiple laboratories and Institutes. Consistent operational performance is critical to ensure data quality, experimental reproducibility, and timely progress of high-priority research efforts.
