The National Institutes of Health intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order to Bruker Biospin Corporation for a maintenance agreement covering five Bruker CryoPlatform CCU4 and four CCU5 systems. This is a sole-source acquisition because Bruker is the only responsible source capable of providing factory-trained engineers, proprietary parts, and technical support for these specialized cryogenic systems used on NIDDK's NMR spectrometers. The government will consider capability statements from interested parties who can demonstrate they can meet all maintenance and repair requirements, and may compete the acquisition if another qualified source is found. An award is anticipated approximately five calendar days after the closing date of this notice. This is not a request for competitive quotations.
