Initiator+ Alstra™ Microwave Peptide Synthesizer, US/JP configuration, including an Alstra trade-in

Notice ID:75N98026Q01052

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order to Biotage for an Initiator+ Alstra™ Microwave Peptide Synthesizer, including a trade-in. The acquisition will be pursued as a single-source procurement under FAR 6.302-1 because Biotage is the only known responsible source capable of meeting the government's specific technical and functional requirements. The required synthesizer incorporates proprietary features integral to the government's validated peptide synthesis processes, and substitution would necessitate redevelopment and revalidation, causing delays and potential research disruption. Interested sources may submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to meet all stated requirements, and the government will consider timely responses when determining whether to compete the acquisition. An award is anticipated approximately five calendar days after the closing date of this notice.
