Mirava STED and Confocal Microscope
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) seeks to purchase a new STED and confocal microscope, either the Abberior Instruments America MIRAVA or an equal product, to replace a non-repairable Nikon A1R system. The microscope will serve as a shared core resource at the NIH main campus in Bethesda, MD, with delivery, installation, and on-site training required at NIH Building 35. The vendor must provide warranty coverage and manufacturer-supported service, with the award based on best value considering technical acceptability, past performance, and price. Quotations are solicited on a brand-name-or-equal basis, with the burden on offerors proposing an equal product to thoroughly demonstrate compliance with all salient characteristics. Large business offerors must also submit a Small Business Subcontracting Plan, even if zero subcontracting opportunities exist.
