Maintenance Agreement for the Leica Mica Core microscopy imaging system

Notice ID:75N98026Q00978

The National Institutes of Health intends to award a firm-fixed-price, one-year sole-source service agreement to Leica Microsystems Inc. for OEM maintenance of its Leica Mica Core microscopy imaging system. This system supports NIH-funded Alzheimer’s disease research on brain-infiltrating lymphocytes using advanced imaging and genomics. The coverage includes preventive maintenance, priority technical support, certified parts, software updates, calibration, and repairs to maintain manufacturer specifications. The government believes only the original equipment manufacturer can provide these services due to proprietary technology, and is issuing this notice for informational purposes rather than as a request for quotes. Capability statements may be considered to determine whether competition is possible.
