NIH intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole source purchase order to Apogee Flow Systems for upgrades to its existing MicroPLUS Flow Cytometer at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology. The required upgrades include the KAIROS Microfluidic Sorter and IOTA Enhancements for nanoscale applications, supporting bacterial population analysis and development of anti-tumor therapeutic delivery vehicles. Apogee is the only authorized source because the proprietary upgrades must be integrated into the existing instrument, and third parties are not authorized to perform them.
