The National Cancer Institute (NCI) intends to award a sole source contract to BD Biosciences for the FACSLyric Flow Cytometry System, as BD is the exclusive manufacturer of the integrated platform, including proprietary hardware, software, and support. Substituting another manufacturer’s equipment would require complete redevelopment of workflows, retraining, and revalidation, increasing costs and technical risk. This notice is not a request for proposals, but any responsible source may submit a capability statement to demonstrate its ability to meet the requirement.
