The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to Roberts Oxygen for bulk liquid nitrogen supply, monitoring, and refill services. The contract includes a one-year base period and two one-year option periods. Roberts Oxygen is the only known source capable of meeting NIDDK’s compatibility and continuity requirements, as switching suppliers would risk significant operational downtime and damage to temperature-sensitive research materials. The contractor monitors tank levels and schedules deliveries independently to ensure uninterrupted supply. Performance of services will be at NIDDK’s facilities.
