Acquisition of one (1) Bio-Rad CFX Opus 96 Real-Time PCR System for the Laboratory of Receptor Biology and Gene Expression Branch (LRBGE), Center for Cancer Research (CCR), National Cancer Institute (NCI)
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a non-competitive contract to Bio-Rad for one Bio-Rad CFX Opus 96 Real-Time PCR System. This system is needed to replace two non-functional, outdated units at the National Cancer Institute’s Laboratory of Receptor Biology and Gene Expression Branch in Bethesda, Maryland. The acquisition is conducted under simplified acquisition procedures and is not expected to exceed $350,000. The replacement instrument is required to restore reliable real-time PCR capability for ongoing research, and continued use of the Bio-Rad platform is necessary to maintain compatibility with existing protocols and consumables.
