The Government intends to issue a modification to extend GSA Contract # 47QTCA18D00JA, Task Order (TO) # 75N97022F00091 for six months to prevent a lapse in service for software, database administration, and support services for NLM LHNCBC from September 25, 2025, to March 24, 2026. This proposed extension is to prevent a break of service while providing the Government with the necessary time to award the competitive re-compete acquisition. Although FAR 52.217-8 was included in the original award of the task order, it was not evaluated at the time of award. Accordingly, this six-month extension was treated as a new procurement action requiring a Limited-Sources Justification in accordance with FAR 8.405-6. The acquisition is conducted under the authority of the Multiple-Award Schedule (MAS) Program. Consideration of schedule contractors will be restricted in accordance with: FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized.
