The National Institute of Health (NIH), National Library of Medicine (NLM) intends to award a sole source purchase order for the Division of Library Operations, Public Service Division, Preservation and Collection Management Section to Ristech Company, Inc. Ristech is the only responsible source known to provide maintenance and repair for these scanners. It is NLM’s intent that the proposed action may be awarded on a sole source basis to Ristech under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Contractor Objectives and Tasks: The purpose of this requirement is to assure uninterrupted maintenance of the two (2) Microbox Cobra II A1 V- cradle scanners by Ristech Company, Inc. This will ensure that the scanners remain operational, in good working order, and capable of meeting a minimum 3-star performance level for the evaluation parameters of the Federal Agencies Digital Guidelines initiative. Sole Source Justification: In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, Ristech is the only company that can provide the maintenance services required for these scanners. This is not a solicitation, nor is a solicitation available. However, all interested parties may submit their capability statements and qualifications which will be considered by NLM. Responses must be in writing and must be submitted electronically to Lillie Joseph, Contract Specialist at Lillie.joseph@nih.gov by 4:00 p.m. EST on February 5, 2021. Proposals must include pricing information. No late responses will be accepted.
