This Presolicitation is for Intent to Sole Source for Service Maintenance for the Nanostring nCounter Scanner and Prep Stations from Nanostring Technologies Inc. for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, “Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items,” as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to award a Purchase Order to Nanostring Technologies Inc., 530 Fairview Avenue North, Suite 200, Seattle, WA, 98109, for Maintenance of the Nanostring nCounter Scanner and Prep Stations from Nanostring Technologies Inc., which are installed at NIEHS, Research Triangle Park campus. The provided supplies and services are proprietary, and the services will be provided for the period of December 21, 2021 through December 20, 2021. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 811219, with a small business size standard of $22.0 million dollars. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. It has been determined that Nanostring Technologies Inc. is the only known responsible source capable of providing the required services for the Maintenance of the Nanostring nCounter Scanner and Prep Stations and no other services will satisfy the agency’s requirement. The purpose of this Purchase Order is for maintenance service by the Nanostring Technologies Inc. at NIEHS, RTP, NC. This Notice is not a solicitation or request for quotations. Notwithstanding, if any firm believes it is capable of meeting NIEHS’ requirement, as stated herein, they may submit their corporate capabilities, which, if received by the response date of this announcement, may be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government.
