Title: Notice of Intent to Sole Source – Oxford Nanopore Technologies GridION Mk1 CapEX Description(s): The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS) intends to award a Purchase Order to Oxford Nanopore Technologies, One Kendall Square, Building 1400, Suite 14-305, Cambridge, MA 02139, for a GridION Mk1 CapEX, to be used in research at NIEHS, Research Triangle Park campus. The North American industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the business size standard is 1,000 Employees. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. It has been determined that Oxford Nanopore Technologies is the only known responsible source capable of providing the required equipment and no other equipment will satisfy the agency's requirements. The purpose of this Purchase Order is a GridION Mk1 CapEX. This is the only designated supply by criterion of unique and highly specialized equipment which provide results in the same format as already performed in related studies at NIEHS, which is required to maintain scientific consistency and integrity. This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for quotes. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting NIEHS’ requirement, as stated herein, may submit their corporate capabilities, which, if received by within 5 days of this posting, may be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing and shall be emailed to Christopher Fisher at Christopher.fisher@nih.gov and are due within 10 days of this posting.
