The NIEHS intends to acquire Zeiss Confocal Microscope Preventative Maintenance and Repair for a one-year period; June 1, 2021 through May 31, 2022 provided by Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC. for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, “Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items,” as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to award a Purchase Order to Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC., 1 N Broadway, Suite 15, White Plains, NY, 10601-2335, for Zeiss Confocal Microscopes Preventative Maintenance and Repair provided by Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC which are installed at NIEHS, Research Triangle Park campus. The provided supplies are proprietary. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 811219, with a small business size standard of $22.0 million dollars. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. It has been determined that Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC. is the only known responsible source capable of providing the required services for the Zeiss Confocal Microscope Preventative Maintenance and Repair for a one-year period; June 1, 2021 through May 31, 2022. No other supplies will satisfy the agency’s requirement.
