Development and Maintenance of an Aged Rodent Tissue Bank
The National Institute on Aging (NIA) intends to award a cost-reimbursement contract to operate its Aged Rodent Tissue Bank, which collects, stores, inventories, and distributes rodent biospecimens for aging research. The period of performance is for one base year beginning on or about March 15, 2027, with four option years, requiring approximately 3 FTE annually. The contractor will maintain an existing inventory of frozen tissues and blocks, collect new specimens from designated rodent strains at specific ages, fulfill distribution to investigators, and manage associated digital records. The work involves handling biospecimens from the NIA Aged Rodent Colonies to support the scientific community. The performance location is not specified.
