This notice is issued to help determine the availability of qualified companies technically capable of meeting the Government requirement, to determine the method of acquisition, and availability of domestic sources manufactured in the United States in sufficient and reasonably available commercial quantities and of a satisfactory quality. Background: The Global Parkinson’s Genetics Program (GP2) is an ambitious program to genotype >150,000 volunteers around the world to further understand the genetic architecture of Parkinson’s disease (PD). There is still much to learn about genetic risk factors and the path to further understanding requires working collaboratively and openly sharing data, processes, and results. Purpose and Objectives: The purpose of this acquisition is to provide supplies to the Center for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias for neurodegenerative disease research for the purpose of long read sequencing on Oxford Nanopore manufactured sequencing systems. These reagents will be used to identify causative genes for neurodegenerative diseases.
