Introductory Statement This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government reserves the right to make one award, multiple awards, or no awards as a result of this solicitation. Description of Requirement The purpose of this requisition is to trade in a JuLiStage real time live cell imaging system for Neurotherapeutics and Development Unit (NTDU) as identified in Attachment 1. Purchase Description, to be used in The Molecular Neurobiology Section (MNS) within the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS). The software purchased with the JuLiStage allows for the timed monitoring of cells for prolonged periods of times. As the cells that the NTDU works with are engineered to expressed blue, green, and red fluorescent proteins detectors for each of these three are needed to monitor cells. The instrument that is being purchase has detectors for each of these fluorescent proteins and as such will be compatible with the experimental needs of the NTDU. Please refer to Attachment 1.
