The purpose of this acquisition is to purchase a LSM 800 laser module repair for an existing Zeiss LSM 800 confocal microscope in NINDS Spinal Circuits and Plasticity Unit. The new laser module will replace a malfunctioning 561 laser module. The Zeiss LSM 800 is the main equipment used in the Spinal Circuits and Plasticity Unit laboratory to image gene/protein expression and fluorescent proteins in the mouse spinal cord and human spinal cord tissue for our ongoing research into spinal circuits.
