This requirement is, on a brand-name-or-equal basis, to provide one high-throughput microplate-based automated imaging system as part of an expansion of its drug development capabilities in support of the New Antiviral Drug Development initiative. Such a system uses a robotic platform that combines an acoustic liquid handler (such as a Beckman Coulter Echo liquid handler), interim microplate preparation devices on an integrated platform (such as a Beckman Coulter Access SRS (Single Robot System)), and a high content screening system (such as a BMG Opera Phenix) into an integrated high-throughput system that itself is integrated into NCATS’ automated drug development environment.
