Pre-Clinical Models of Infectious Diseases
NIAID seeks contractors to provide and develop animal and animal-replacement models of infectious diseases to support evaluation of vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics. The anticipated multiple-award IDIQ “ramp-on” will add successful offerors to existing contractor pools across four task areas: small animal models, non-human primate models, animal replacement/non-traditional models, and generation/distribution of specialized reagents. Work will emphasize priority infectious agents and medical countermeasure testing, including model development, refinement, screening, evaluation, and regulatory-support studies. Offerors may propose to one or more task areas depending on capabilities. The RFP is anticipated to be available on/about December 2026 via sam.gov.
