Introduction The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH), of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) supports research related to the basic understanding of microbiology and immunology leading to the development of vaccines, therapeutics, and medical diagnostics for the prevention, treatment, and diagnosis of infectious and immune-mediated diseases. The NIAID, VRC has a requirement for administrative, logistical, custodial and facility support to maintain the research laboratory and adjacent administrative space for combined use of the VRC. Description The Contractor shall provide administrative, logistical, custodial, and facility support to maintain the research laboratory and adjacent administrative space for the combined use of VRC’s Vaccine Immunology Program (VIP) and the Vaccine Production Program (VPP), which are housed off the NIH main campus. The anticipated start date is on/or about July 27, 2020 with a One Year Base and 2 One Year Options, as well as 9 level of effort options. This shall require 2.25 FTEs per year, plus up to 1 level of effort FTE that may be exercised up to three times per year. Offerors are expected to have the expertise, experience, and personnel to meet the requirements of the project, and be able to demonstrate their capability to perform this requirement, with particular attention to the following areas: Provide facility manager and support personnel to maintain all necessary components of the operation of the facility core infrastructure needed to support the day-to-day needs of staff housed at the facility supporting the VRC. Maintain the leased space for the current facilities located at 9 West Watkins Mill Road, Gaithersburg, MD. Provide for continuity of operations for the laboratory in case of unforeseen interruption of facility utilities. Provide custodial services for all leased spaces adherent to GLP/GMP requirements. Provide oversight of the building security and visitor access. Provide an electronic tracking system for project activities and inventory.
