The National Cancer Institute (NCI)’s Center for Cancer Research Office (CCR) of the Clinical Director’s Office of Healthcare Delivery and Equity Research (HDE) plans to procure on a sole source basis, Cancer InFocus (CIF), an online data and visualization tool from the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center (UKMCC), 800 Rose Street, H166 Chandler Hospital University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY 40536. The purpose of this acquisition is to procure Cancer InFocus (CIF), which will enable the HDE to describe the CCR’s catchment area, the self-defined geographic area, including but not limited to the local surrounding area, from which CCR draws the majority of patients it serves (or intends to) in the research it conducts, the outreach it performs, and diverse partners and communities it engages. The catchment area data will be used to inform the design and implementation of initiatives to enhance patient access to, experience in, and removal of barriers to participation in CCR’s clinical trials. NCI plans to procure this requirement in accordance with simplified acquisition procedures as stated in FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) via request for written quotation. Only one (1) award will be made as a result of this solicitation. This notice is not a request for competitive quotation. However, if any interested party, especially small businesses, believes it can meet the above requirement, it may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. The statement of capabilities and any other information furnished must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow the NCI to determine if the party can perform the requirement. Responses must be received in the contracting office by 3:00 PM ET, June 24, 2024. The Government’s determination to solicit quotations from the vendors to compete this proposed requirement, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
