DESCRIPTION OF NOTICE This Sources Sought Notice is for information and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the National Cancer Institute (NCI). The purpose of this notice is to identify vendors, especially small business concerns, that are interested in and capable of providing the products described in this notice. The NCI does not intend to award a contract based on responses received nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information submitted. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME however, NCI may issue a request for quotation (RFQ) because of this notice. Should such a requirement materialize, no basis for claims against NCI shall arise because of a response to this notice or the NCI’s use of such information as either part of our evaluation process or in developing specifications for any subsequent requirement. PROJECT BACKGROUND The National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center for Cancer Research (CCR) seeks to procure an aquarium rack for aquaculture of immunodeficient zebrafish. In 2018, a group of investigators from the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (DCEG) and CCR received funding from the NCI Office of the Director to start an Advancing RAS/RASopathy Therapies (ART) initiative to study both germline RAS pathway mutations (RASopathies) and somatic RAS-driven tumors. The goal of this initiative was to develop effective therapies for these conditions and tumors of unmet need. As part of this effort, CCR seeks to bring new technology to the CCR Aquaculture core which will allow the facilitiy to breed and maintain immunodeficient zebrafish that can be used for human xenograft experiments. PRODUCT FEATURES/SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS NCI is seeking a custom aquarium rack system that meets or exceeds the following product features and/or salient characteristics: Fifty (50) 4L tanks with lids and baffles Capable of maintaining a temperature of 37°C. Includes UV sterilizers Includes two (2) pH probes Includes two (2) conductivity probes Includes two (2) temperature probes Includes two (2) level sensors Includes two (2) stock solution tanks Carbon filters Integrated dosing system which allows for delivery of four (4) antibiotic/antifungal on a continuous basis
