NCI OSFM plans to non-competitively increase the ceiling on the existing indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract 75N91020D00016 with: PLANON CORPORATION 45 BRAINTREE HILL PARK SUITE 400 BRAINTREE, MA 02184-8730 UNITED STATES Increasing the ceiling will allow the Government to procure Planon ProCenter maintenance services to ensure the continued functionality and optimal performance of the proprietary CAFM system utilized by the NCI. The Planon licensing and maintenance can only be provided by the incumbent contractor due to their specialized knowledge of the Planon CAFM system, which is critical to NCI’s operations. Integrating a new software into the NCI’s environment would require a substantial duplication of costs not expected to be recovered through competition and unacceptable delays in fulfilling NCI’s requirements. The response close date of the notice for this requirement is in accordance with FAR 5.203(b). This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 12 – Acquisition for Commercial Items and will be made pursuant to the authority in FAR Part 13.501(a) and is not exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6.
