Funeral Home/ Mortuary/ Mortician will be responsible for transportation of human remains for purpose of autopsy as ordered by White River Service Unit physician from place of decedent’s death to place of autopsy. Pick up of human remains will take place within 5 hours of notification of services needed under this contract. Human remains will be delivered directly to medical examiner’s office for autopsy. Funeral home/ Mortuary/ Mortician will be responsible for transportation of human remains after completion of autopsy back to the funeral home/ mortuary of the deceased family’s choice within 24 hours of completion of autopsy. Repair work after autopsy will be performed as needed.
