This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. This requirement is accomplished in accordance with FAR Part 13.106(b)(1) Soliciting from a Single source. Funding for this procurement is provided through a grant through the SANFORD HEALTH OF NORTHERN MINNESOTA under the Rural Maternity and Obstetrics Management Strategies Program to provide maternity simulation manikin equipment for training purposes to nursing staff, to the Cass Lake Indian Hospital. The intent is to complete a sole source award directly to: Nasco Healthcare, 16 Simulaids Drive, Saugerties, NY. 12477. As the only vendor capable of providing the subsequent service and maintenance due to the proprietary nature of the equipment. All inquiries received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
