The Government anticipates releasing the solicitation on or about 13 May 2022 and will remain open for approximately 30 calendar days. SCOPE OF WORK: The scope of this project is to demolish and replace the existing heating plant and domestic water heaters inside the Pine Ridge Hospital physical plant in Pine Ridge, SD. The Pine Ridge Hospital heating system must remain operational throughout the duration of construction and may not be 100% shut down at any time without advanced notice and coordinated scheduling. LOCATION OF PROJECT: All work shall be performed in the Pine Ridge Hospital. TERO: TERO is applicable to this project. CONSTRUCTION DURATION: Period of Performance is 360 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed with a winter exclusion period between 1 December – 1 March. CONSTRUCTION MAGNITUDE: The magnitude of this construction project is anticipated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000, in accordance with FAR 36.204(g). SITE VISIT: Details regarding the Site Visit will be included in the solicitation. CONTRACT TYPE: The Indian Health Service intends to award a single Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract in support of this requirement. Description/Scope of Work: The Department of Health and Human Services, Indian Health Service (IHS) anticipates an acquisition for the demolition and replacement of the existing heating plant and domestic water heaters inside the Pine Ridge Hospital physical plant in Pine Ridge, SD. This project will consist of heavy mechanical piping and pipe fitting and require the installation of large heating water boiler equipment and systems. Experience in oil industry piping, chemical plants, or large physical plant construction is desired. Trade experience installing and pipe fitting according to the latest International Mechanical Code, International Fuel Gas Code, and Uniform Plumbing Code will be required and experience in construction according to the latest ANSI/ASME B31.1/3 Power Piping Code is preferred. Contractors that have experience in construction projects where complicated phasing was executed successfully or projects that take place in occupied hospitals will be highly regarded and scrutinized. Submission Package: Interested PRIME CONTRACTORS are invited to submit a capabilities statement/narrative demonstrating the firm's experience in construction projects of a similar nature as described above. The submittal shall be no longer than ten (10) pages and shall include the following information: 1.
