3D Imaging Microscope System
The National Forensic Chemistry Center (NFCC) requires a Bruker Alicona InfiniteFocus G6 optical 3D measurement system for use in its Trace Examination Section. The system must perform non-contact surface profilometry and difference analysis for forensic applications such as tablet debossing, punch face embossing, and packaging topography. It must be based on Focus Variation Microscopy and include advanced illumination for measuring steep angles, the ability to handle highly reflective materials without surface treatment, and integrated true-color optical data co-registered with 3D topography. Performance will occur at the NFCC, which needs to expand analytical throughput for law enforcement stakeholders.
