The FDA, through FDA University (FDAU) and other Centers and Offices, develops and manages best-in-government quality of work-life programs, and fosters an agency-wide continuous learning environment, competency-based learning and career leadership development activities using innovative training and organizational development solutions that are aligned with the FDA and HHS’ strategic capital goals. The support provided by FDA University allows the agency to carry out its mission-based services by educating, training, and coaching emerging leaders, new supervisors, managers, and executives. The FDA acquires training support services on an ad-hoc basis to support the learning needs of the FDA staff. Instructional design and e-learning services are provided on a limited basis; training and delivery services are provided by the Government and outside vendors; and training/administration and delivery is being provided by an existing Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). The Government is seeking to augment and expand training and support services to meet the agency’s strategic human capital goals.
