The Office of Regulatory Science (ORS), Division of Division of Microbiology requires the purchase of a service contract for an existing Sequel 2e long-read sequencer to maintain the instrument to perform at optimum specifications and ensure data generated is consistent and of high quality to resolve outbreaks of foodborne disease. The Sequel 2e machine purchased in September 2021 with a one-year warranty, needs to be maintained in a manner that does not void the warranty provided by the manufacturing company, Pacific Biosciences.
