The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR) requires roof replacement of Building 15 and 53 A, B, C, D & Mech room in Jefferson, Arkansas. The project scope consists of the following work (but is not limited to): Architectural Replace existing roof membrane (without removing deck) with new two-ply bituminous roof membrane. Remove and replace interior doors; demo of old doors. Relocate equipment from breakroom to be renovated to temporary breakroom. Renovate stair case areas and breakroom. Install metal ladders, hand rails, and grating platforms around air handling units on the roof. Mechanical Remove and demolish abandoned-in-place mechanical equipment such as exhaust fans, condenser units and air vent on the roof. Replace existing exhaust fans and air vent on the roof. Install mini split units for staircase area and breakroom. Replace existing deteriorating pipe support with unistrut and rubber block. Electrical Remove and demolish the electrical connection for equipment that will be demolished under mechanical section. Install new electrical connection for new or replaced equipment under mechanical section. Project Magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Acquisition is 100% set-aside for HUBZone concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238160 (Roofing Contractors) with a Small Business Size Standard is $15 million dollars. The anticipated release date of solicitation/request for proposal (RFP) number FDA-SOL-1222237 is on or about April 1, 2021 with a closing date on or about April 30, 2021. The resultant contract will be Firm Fixed Priced (FFP). The anticipated award date is on or around July 1, 2021. Period of Performance: 490 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed.
