The instrument shall meet or exceed the following requirements: • The instrument shall consist of a rinse tank and a waste tank contained in a mobile unit with pumps and universal wash module. • The universal wash module shall have a wash nozzle and drain assembly that empties a dissolution vessel, then performs a complete 360° wash that provides a thorough cleaning of the entire vessel in less than 60 seconds. • The universal wash module shall have the ability to securely fit into any (U. S. Pharmacopeia (USP) conforming 1 Liter vessel, regardless of the bath or vessel manufacturer. • The universal wash module shall have a self-adjusting drain that allows for vessel height variations. • The instrument shall have an integrated shaft rinse wand that provides a method for cleaning the shaft and stirring elements on the dissolution apparatus. • The instrument shall have the capability of cleaning at least 28 1 Liter vessels in under 15 minutes. • The rinse tank shall have a volume of at least 38 Liters. • The rinse tank shall have electric level sensors for full/empty determination and a sight gauge indicator. • The rinse tank shall have a fill port equipped with quick disconnect fittings on the top cover and automatic shut-off capability. • The waste tank shall have a volume of at least 76 Liters. • The waste tank shall have electric level sensors for full/empty determination and a sight gauge indicator. • The instrument shall have temperature control with an electronic immersion heater with a temperature range from 25° to at least 60°C. • The instrument shall have a continuous LED display of rinse tank temperature. • The instrument shall have a RS-232 and a USB 2.0 interface port. • The instrument shall be constructed with acid resistant heating elements. • The instrument shall have electrical power of 115V ± 15V, 50/60 Hz, and 10A preset at the factory. • The instrument body must not exceed the following measurements: 26 inches in width, 26 inches in depth and 39 inches in height.
