This instrument is used for method development and process screening studies on biologic/protein drug substance manufacturing research using typical UV-Vis absorbance detection for large molecules. OBP has recently made upgrades to this instrument which allow more flexibility in the types of assays and workflows it can perform including the addition of disposable/small volume tips to allow for plate sampling from microcentrifuge tubes and sterile plate prep. A new application is planned for evaluation of recombinant endotoxin testing kits that will require fluorescence and luminescence detection. OBP seeks to purchase a new BRAND NAME OR EQUIVALENT Tecan Infinite 200 PRO MPlex multimodal plate reader with UV-Vis absorbance, Fluorescence, and Luminescence detection capability that is fully compatible with the existing Tecan platform and robotics which will allow the continued utilization of this instrument with broader research applications for drug manufacturing.
