The primary purpose is to procure vaccines for the 2026-2027 season, with a requirement to also purchase for the 2025-2026 season before the 2026-2027 vaccine is available. These contracts will utilize VFC and Section 317 funds to obtain vaccines at prices below the commercial market, and awardees may also sell additional quantities to states for non-federally eligible children.
