Development of Vision-based Load and Configuration Safety Monitoring System for Mast-Climbing Work Platforms
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract to Stony Brook University for developing a lightweight machine learning system to monitor the safety of mast climbing work platforms. SUNY is considered the only capable source because it holds the proprietary dataset and has the necessary institutional knowledge, study design expertise, and specialized data-collection and machine-learning capabilities. No other vendors with equivalent dataset access and modeling experience have been identified. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, but any firm believing it can meet the requirement may submit a written response to the Contracting Office. The response must include a capability statement demonstrating the firm's experience, assets, and ability to perform without compromising quality, accuracy, reliability, or schedule.
