Justification for Other Than Full and Open - Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology in the Military Health System
The CDC has awarded a sole-source Firm-Fixed-Price contract to the Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HJF) for Chronic Kidney Disease Epidemiology in the Military Health System. The work involves supporting CKD surveillance and epidemiology by building and maintaining an analytical database from Military Health System data, with analyses covering CKD/ESKD, risk factors, disease patterns in active-duty and non-active-duty populations, pediatric CKD, and rare causes. The contract was awarded on August 11, 2026, and includes a one-year base period plus three one-year option periods. It was justified as sole-source because HJF is the only responsible source capable of meeting the requirements without substantial duplication of cost or delays.
