CDC intends a sole-source modification for one month of continued security guard services at CDC-owned and leased facilities in metro Atlanta, Georgia, and Fort Collins, Colorado, for January 1–31, 2027. The purpose is to maintain uninterrupted coverage during the transition-in period of a competitively awarded follow-on contract, including BSL-4 laboratory and SCIF posts requiring cleared, credentialed, badged, certified, and weapons-qualified personnel. The incumbent, Chenega Global Protection, LLC, is deemed the only responsible source able to assume full coverage on January 1, 2027 without lapse and relinquish posts on February 1, 2027. Responsible sources may submit capability statements explaining how they would complete transition-in and transition-out with no lapse or degradation in coverage.
