Safety, Prevention, Epidemiology, and Education Development for Health Care and Antimicrobial Resistance - SPEED 2027-2032
CDC's National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion, intends to compete a new IDIQ called SPEED for as-needed healthcare epidemiology, health behavior, and healthcare-associated infection research support across five domains. The domains cover domestic antimicrobial resistance/infection prevention/adverse events, healthcare IT/data/AI solutions, global antimicrobial resistance and infection prevention and control, emergency preparedness/response and healthcare system resilience, and workforce training/message development/dissemination/testing. The anticipated ordering period is 60 months from March 30, 2027 through March 29, 2032, and the solicitation is anticipated for release by November 16, 2026; current SHEPheRD contracts were extended through March 29, 2027 to avoid service lapse. Small business set-asides apply by domain (25% partial for Domains 1–4 and 100% total for Domain 5), with anticipated NAICS codes 541690, 541715, and 611430. Offerors may propose to one or more domains and will be evaluated on technical approach, infrastructure/capacity, staffing, management, similar experience, price, and past performance, with work spanning domestic U.S. and global settings, including low- and middle-income countries.
