Electronic Key Box System
A modern electronic smart key box system is being procured, installed, configured, and commissioned to support secure, auditable management of physical brass keys for CDC security personnel. The system will improve accountability, reduce key loss or unauthorized access, provide real-time visibility, support PIV and MFA, and integrate with CDC networks and workflows. It will replace outdated key control systems that frequently fail and require manual processes. Installation will occur at Roybal Campus Buildings 20 (80-key), 17, 18, and 23 (40-key each), Chamblee Campus Building 106 (40-key), and Lawrenceville Campus (20-key). The effort is intended to strengthen physical security across CDC facilities in the metro Atlanta area.
