The CubeX28 and CubeX16 models collectively provided the best targeted and optimized size ranges to provide clear, high frequency imaging for species of animals ranging from mice at approximately 30grams up to goats at approximately 40Kg. Both units are needed to cover the range of a colony of diverse species maintained as animal models for infectious disease research at CDC in the Comparative Medicine Branch. The TruePortable Xray system are unique in that they are portable and can be used at both the Roybal and Lawrenceville locations unlike traditional xray units that have to be permanently installed in the animal facility. Portable units create a cost savings by not necessitating purchase of duplicate units at both Roybal and Lawrenceville.
