The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source contract to Beckman Coulter Inc for a Service Agreement (SA) for Biomek robotic stations. Only Beckman Coulter offer Silver SA, the Biomek product line is property of Beckman Coulter Inc and only Beckman Coulter Inc can provide Silver service. This SA includes all repairs, labor and travel incur during service call for all units listed in the contract. This SA includes one annual preventive maintenance. The contract assures a two-day on-site response time around for service calls. The SA also includes field application technical support on-site. Importantly, all hardware and software updates are included for instruments included in the agreement. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Beckman Coulter Inc is the only responsible source capable of providing the necessary equipment SA. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations / responses received within seven (7) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
