This contract is for the provision of pipette calibration services for all pipettes used by the Newborn Screening and Molecular Biology Branch (NSMBB). This contract is necessary because NSMBB has been accredited to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 17043 standard by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). To maintain this accreditation, compliance to A2LA’s Policy on Metrological Traceability (P102) is needed. This policy requires the use of a pipette calibration service accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 for this service.
