The purpose of the work performed by the National Adult Day Services Association (NADSA) will be to provide a Masterfile containing the most current, complete, and accurate list of ADS centers in the United States. This Masterfile will be used to derive the universe of ADS centers, from which a nationally representative random sample of ADS centers will be fielded for the 2024 wave of NPALS. The sampling frame developed for the 2024 NPALS survey data will be protected under the Confidential Information Protection and Statistical Efficiency Act or CIPSEA (Pub. L. No. 115-435, 132 Stat. 5529 § 302). NADSA shall provide NCHS with a masterfile containing the most current, complete, and accurate listing of all individual ADS centers in the United States. NADSA updates its database of ADS centers continuously throughout each year. The Masterfile that NADSA sells to NCHS will be used to derive the universe of ADS centers and to derive a sample of ADS centers for the ADS center survey component of the 2024 NPALS; the 2024 NPALS survey data will be collected under the Confidential Information Protection and Statistical Efficiency Act (CIPSEA). The Masterfile provided by NADSA shall represent the most current listing of all ADS centers in the United States (50 States and the District of Columbia), and shall contain the NADSA-generated provider identification numbers, names, and addresses for each ADS center.
