The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a fixed-priced purchase order contract to UNICOR (a mandatory source) to procure furniture for the modeling lab (full refurnish) and a variety of items for several offices. Existing furniture in the modeling lab is longstanding and not ergonomic by any means. Several of the division staff use this lab to complete modeling work on the computers and the need for efficient furniture in that space has been identified by division leadership. Other various furniture items will be provided into many different offices so that all offices are furnished equitably and will alleviate requests for furniture moves within the building when the staff is relocated to another office. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 USC 2410n and FAR 8.6 Acquisition from Federal Prison Industries, Inc. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any quotation /response should be emailed to the Contracting Specialist, Willie Moss, CTR, at lsf7@cdc.gov by COB 08-16-2022. No telephonic quotes shall be considered.
