As of April 7, 2020 the Phase I Selections have been made. The Government received five (5) Phase I proposals in response to the Phase I Solicitation. Three (3) selections were made, and all offerors have been notified of their standings. The selection of the successful offerors was based on the criteria contained in the Phase I Request For Proposal. The technical merits of each proposal were evaluated, and the determination was made that the Phase II Solicitation, as well as the accompanying contract awards for Design Proposal Reimbursement, should be given to the following offerors: The Beck Group Gilbane Perkins & Will Turner Construction Company Each selected Phase I offeror shall receive an award in the not-to-exceed amount of $200,000.00 for the partial reimbursement of Design Proposal Costs. ******************************************************************************************* Amendment 0002 The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions from prospective vendors. ******************************************************************************************* Amendment 0001 The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions from prospective vendors. ******************************************************************************************* The Government (hereinafter also referred to as “CDC”) requires services to be provided by a Design-Builder (D-B) for the design and construction of Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Building 108 (B108), Building 112A (B112A), Parking Deck 161B (B112A) and Associated Infrastructure – Chamblee, Georgia. The D-B shall perform all the services and furnish all materials required for the production and subsequent delivery to the Contracting Officer the design calculations, drawings, and specifications required to complete the project. The D-B will complete all demolition, site preparations, construction work, all project coordination, project phasing, furniture, equipment, A/V equipment, lighting protection, commissioning, move/relocation services, studies/surveys and other services listed in the statement of work to provide the Government complete and operational replacement facilities and campus improvements. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contemplates award of a firm fixed price contract for Design-Build of the following Facilities at the CDC Chamblee, Georgia Campus: Building 108, multi-story office building. Building 112A, high bay laboratory material handling facility. Building 161B, multi-story parking deck. Guardhouse, single story campus entry security checkpoint building. Central Utility Plant (CUP) modifications to support the addition of the above buildings to the CDC Chamblee campus. Expansion of an existing Lifestyles Suite in Building 107. Miscellaneous site and infrastructure improvements to support the facilities listed above. A two phased solicitation is being issued to provide the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with a contract to design, construct, and commission new facilities consolidating selected Atlanta-based staff onto CDC’s Chamblee Campus. Work will include full and/or partial demolition of facilities noted in the statement of work, relocation of staff from other metro Atlanta buildings into Buildings 108 and 112A, construction of a guardhouse on Fifth Avenue, parking deck addition, surface parking lots, road modifications and other site features. The project will be phased. The new facilities will provide the staff with appropriate modern facilities to support the CDC’s mission. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Between $150,000,000 and $200,000,000 CDC intends to issue a single award as a result of solicitation 75D301-20-R-67866. It is anticipated that the resulting Firm Fixed Price contract will have a period of perfomance of 40 months after the notice to proceed is issued. This is full and open competitive requirement. The NAICS Codes for this proposed procurement are 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. All prospective Offerors must have an active, valid, and complete registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be considered for award of a Federal contract. It is the policy of the government to provide maximum practicable opportunities in its acquisitions to small business, veteran-owned small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business concerns.
